I believe the best photos come from feeling comfortable with each other. That's why I really love getting to know my couples before the wedding. It doesn't need to be anything formal at all, just a chance to chat and connect. Sometimes that's over a call, sometimes it's a few WhatsApps back and forth, or even just swapping the occasional Instagram message.
However it happens, it makes such a difference on the day. When we've already had those conversations, the camera stops feeling like this big, awkward thing in the middle of it all. You'll know who I am, how I work, and most importantly, that you can just get on with having the best day without giving the photos a second thought.
On the day itself, I'm not going to be giving instructions or asking you to pose in ways that feel stiff or uncomfortable. Instead, I'll be there in the background, noticing the moments that unfold naturally all around you. My whole job is to make sure you can forget the camera is even there and focus on what actually matters, being present, soaking it all up, and celebrating with all the people you love. When you're relaxed and enjoying every moment, the photos genuinely take care of themselves, and that's exactly how I want it to feel for you both.
I've been photographing weddings since 2013, all over London and across the UK. Town hall ceremonies with twelve guests, big rowdy parties that ran way past midnight, and everything in between. Every single one has been completely different, which is why I love still doing this.
The venue changes, the ceremony changes, but at their core weddings are all the same thing. The people you love, all in one room, having the best time. It's one of the only days where everyone from every part of your life is actually in the same place, all there for you. I'm there for the big moments but honestly it's the in-between bits that get me. The proudest look on a parent's face. The look you give each other when it hits you that you're actually married. That wave of emotion when you see each other for the first time. The speeches that have everyone absolutely gone, and the teary ones that catch you off guard. That's the stuff you'll come back to when you look back through your photos.
