Will & Jojo’s Relaxed London Wedding at Islington Town Hall and West Reservoir
Will and Jojo’s relaxed London wedding was a perfect example of how to embrace simplicity and fun on your big day. As a London wedding photographer, I always encourage couples to focus on the moments that matter most, and this wedding was full of them. Will and Jojo’s wedding was the kind of day that’s exactly why I love being a relaxed London wedding photographer. No stress, just pure, genuinements, and of course, plenty of confetti!
The day started with Will and Jojo getting ready together in their East London flat. No separate rooms, no drama, just them, their loved ones, and a whole lot of excitement. Jojo wore this gorgeous vintage dress that just fit the vibe perfectly. From there, it was a short walk to Islington Town Hall for the ceremony. Simple, chill, and full of love.
They walked down the aisle together, no traditions forced, just two people ready to commit to forever. The ceremony was intimate and personal, and the confetti moment on the steps of Islington Town Hall? Pure joy. It’s always one of my favourite shots to capture, and it never gets old.
Next up, a classic red London bus took everyone to the reception at West Reservoir Centre in Hackney. This venue is amazing, with stunning views of the water, perfect for some relaxed couple portraits. We did a few quick shots on the jetty (which meant I had to rock a life jacket, thanks to my heavy camera gear, definitely gave the couple a good laugh).
The speeches were hilarious, full of heartfelt moments and inside jokes. One of the highlights? Will and Jojo swapping football shirts with their new surname on the back. It was such a fun personal touch! After that, the dance floor was packed, the drinks were flowing, and the vibe was exactly what you want on your wedding day, fun, easy, and unforgettable.
